Is there anyone in Cape Town that offers horsebox driving courses?
When I worked overseas part of my job was to truck the horses to shows and to the arena for lessons and my boss sent me on a 2 day course, which was very helpful, by the end of the course we had to be able to reverse down a long straight line through two posts.
Would love to be able to do something similar again as it has been a while since I have had to drive a loaded horsebox.

LOL IC!
Yeah I don't think you need anything like that here, but it would be good to do. My biggest problem is reversing with a horsebox.

*rushes flat out onto thread, tyres squealing, brakes smoking..........executes a perfect 3 point turn at speed and reverses box into space only big enough for a mini* I'll go where, when? ?? huh? ?? come on what an excellent idea.

Would be a brilliant idea! Best I can do is tell you that our pony club branch has a horse box driving competition for the parents. Gives the kids a chance to laugh at their parents, which is important you understand!

I think its a brilliant idea- i drive my box with heart in my throat the WHOLE time- ask anyone at the yard- i lean forward and grip the steering wheel until my knuckles turn white- and i only breathe once i get to the destination- the WHOLE time, I ask Sara (how is he doing? What's that noise, etc.)- AND i have been driving a horse box on and off for 6 years! Pretty pathetic! LOL - let me know if you organise it Misty- i might just bring it with Harry or Skwiff inside for a visit! In fact, now that we finally have Skwiff loading, i cannot get my head around putting two in our box, even though it is a 3 berth converted to a two berth- so its plenty wide- just freaks me out abit!
