Ayone know anything about a mare named Dancing Petunia?
From what I understand, she was bred to race but never actually got on the track. She's a 16.2hh TB mare, bright bay with a skwonky kind of star. Quite upright hind legs and a bit croup high. Very short tail (doesn't even go to her hocks)
Was used as a broodmare and had her last foal around 8 months ago. She's broken for riding and is a quiet ride. Not spooky.
Any info or idea where I may get info would be appreciated!

She is registered as a 1993 mare by Damascus Gate out of an American mare by Alleged. She did race, and even won 3 of her races and had 10 places. 2 of her foals are registered to race - Whistling Gill is her 2005 foal and she was bred by Riverworld stud. Whistling Gill is racing in Kimberley and last raced 1 month ago

On Aro, looked at her female lines. Then googled her name, and she came up as the dam of Whistling Gill, who is currently registered and racing. Those horses can then be traced via formgrids.co.za - to show owner, trainer, breeder, race history

Went a bit nuts on Google and found out her dam's name was Shark Dance

Yup, got that part too. But since her dam was imported, there was not too much of her female line that would have been familiar

Super late reply, but we just knew her as "Petunia".

How strange, still don't know who this horse is. Maybe she is stabled with the other people on the property!

She was apparently sold to someone in Morningstar early last year or maybe even in 2010. With another horse called Maverick.
