My brother rescued a chicken from being supper for some of the local guys that live close to the farm the factory is on.
The chicken was sqeezed into a tiny gap between the wall and a crate, it couldn't move, therefore it couldn't get out. It was dirty and smelly and tiny. We thought it was a female.
A week later it started to crow in the mornings...not a chick then LOL!
He's turned into quite a handsome fellow! He's very tame, he comes wandering into the house and decided that he wants to roost behind the curtains in the house. He comes and goes in the house as he pleases. Silly Chicken.
Unfortunately we have a small dog and ducks, he has become quite defensive of his "home" and has started to chase the ducks around as well as our little dog. As he is a rooster and is starting to get his spurs, he will eventually injure our beloved girls and our little dude.
He has been dubbed Kentucky and he is looking for a good home with lots of space and chicks if possible. he cannot go to a home that already has a rooster, they WILL fight and one of them WILL get hurt.
