Hi all
My little pocket Sony packed up. I took it in for repairs but because the board is gone they want more than the camera is worth to fix it.
I am in desperate need of a small pocket camera with no less than 3 or 4 mega pixels.
The chances of the camera lasting long is slim to none as it will end up with blood and guts on it most of the time (no dont ask). So am not willing to pay good money to buy a new camera. At the moment i am using my cell phone but due to the nature of my work i have already almost ruined a good cell phone.
Anything decent will do... anyone have one for sale? I do not want to spend much. PM me or email.
Thanks.

cameras these days arent actually that much, have you checked www.sacamera.co.za for some PaS? I can recommend the Canon Powershot range, depending on your budget. www.sacamera.co.za/product/131/Canon-Compact-Cameras.htmlI wouldnt go 2nd hand with something like a PaS. People dont pay much for them and arent careful with them, so you have a higher risk of getting a dud. (this point is moot after re-reading your post lol sorry!) They have cameras on there for R1500 brand new for a 10mp point and shoot camera very good value!

Thanks guys. I brought a new Canon point and shoot thing for R900. Its already scratched to hell and has blood on it, but its coping doing the job. Anything over a grand would be a waste of money Tails but thank you very much for the information. I just need to make it last until August then if it packs up it wont matter... would rather abuse a cheapy camera than my cell phone camera lol.

Err, what you taking pictures of Dodabbs? Are you photographing dissections or something?
Sorry I have a problem with morbid curiosity.
