CAPE HUNT AND POLO CLUB
HUNT SECTION
GRAND OPENING TO THE SEASON
SUNDAY 31 MAY - OPENING MEET 9.45 a.m.
Rondeberg Farm , Equestrian Valley, Philadelphia
Our first Hunt of the season will be at Rondeberg – the permanent home of the Cape Hunt Hounds.
Hounds will meet at 9.45am.and move off at 10am. The stirrup cup will be served at 9.45 am.
Followers in 4x4 vehicles are most welcome. A R30 donation per vehicle is kindly requested, and all monies collected goes towards the upkeep of our hounds.
All hunters, ex hunters, new riders and friends are invited to follow the hunt. The hunt will last approximately 2 hours and will definitely have 2 Fields, the 2nd field being for those who would like to go at a slightly steadier and slower pace. You are also welcome to retire at any check, provided that you ask permission from the Field Master before departing. This is for safety reasons and to avoid possibly crossing the course for the next leg.
THE HUNT will be followed by the HUNT BREAKFAST catered by “Porky” and will be a spit braai (lamb and pork) and it is a 3 course meal.
Cost: R150 per adult, R90 per child 12 yrs and under.
Please bring your own refreshments and glasses and if necessary, umbrellas for the sun. There will be
a large marquee should there be inclement weather. (Tables and chairs are provided)
We hope you will join us for the HUNT BREAKFAST after the hunt. Please make your booking with Felicity Rossouw by no later than 8.00 p.m. Tuesday 26 May. Thereafter NO bookings and no cancellations – only replacements!!
