Looking for a young Great Dane as companion to our girl who recently lost her best friend (I think a little pup would be too small - she's boisterous).
Will live the high life on our farm - with dam, horses and free range kids.

Hi Brigitte Contact Hayley: hayley.saul@gmail.com she should be able to put you in touch with people that will help you source what you're looking for. I also remember that they had a young harlequin female up for rehoming a shortwhile back. Hope you find what you're looking for

Thanks a million, Weezie. I'll keep in touch with the Great Dane org too - I really don't mind a rescue. Just need a beastie that's robust enough to cope with my hooligan. She started on the neighbour's chickens last week - was never interested before. I hope I can catch this thing before it turns into a problem!

We got our GD X at the SPCA (we asked them to phone us should a GD come in- maybe leave your name & number with a few branches?) They are nomally listed with the GD rescue as well though- I'm surprised they had nothing available

Try the Great Dane Rescue org, megzmc - they have a few dogs at the moment. I just spoke to a woman called Mary who was wonderful - although couldn't help me right now because it's not likely that the dogs she has will fit well with my gang of misfits. Maybe you'll be a better option. You'll be interrogated though, so be ready for a thousand questions.

That's what I thought too... Maybe they tried to ride the Dane, and failed miserably...

Good grief, someone should rescue that GD. And never give them a horse.

Hi, maybe PM Jane here on B&B. She fosters for PETS and as per the news letter this morning I see there is a Great Dane looking for a home. She might be able to point you into a direction.
