Equine Job Wanted:
Hi all,
I am out on the search for a new job in equine management. I have the greatest passion for horses and I just can’t seem to part with it. I am looking for stable management type of work. Running someone’s yard or smallholding and seeing to all the daily chores. Such as ordering feed, seeing to the farrier and vets checkups, admin work with excel sheets, paddock and stable checkups, exercising and schooling of horses, general supervision of grooms men and any other horse related work. I am looking for a live-in position preferably, but if not available, other options can be explored.
I am turning 20 in August this year. I have been riding for the last 11 years. I am in stable management at the moment to an upcoming livery yard, but due to lack of funds the yard is no longer going forward with building, which forces me to look for alternate work.
If you know of any such work that fits my description please, please contact me or pass this letter on.
My cell phone number is: 0725526595 or my email: leanne.butcher@gmail.com
I do have a contactable reference.
Thanking you kindly,
Leanne

Lee, there is an ad on gumtree for a yard in Paarl, looking for someone to run the yard. They have about 8 stables which you can rent from them and then run your own yard. I was interested, but right now I am not sure if I can get the whole thing up and running, also I am very happy at the yard my horses ar at and that would be a conflict of interests

I believe the Dageraad Equestrian Centre is closing down? Was that position for the yard manager at the stud farm? That would be an incredible job... very, very demanding but a great opportunity!

Yip Bee the Stud farm outside RObertson is definitely still open but the EC in Rondeberg is closing due to lack of funds. Sad really..... Glad the stud farm remains open.

Lee, not sure if you are interested in Saddlers but the below add was posted on Gumtree today
I am looking for a (friendly!), committed EXPERIENCED rider / horse handler who wants to help out at a stable-yard in Stellenbosch. Horses (mostly American saddlers) need basic schooling, lungeing and outrides. Horses available during week and on some weekends. Contact 083 290 7049 for more information.

Try some of the warmblood studs. They always seem to be looking for good riders to back and bring on youngsters.
