In cooperation with South African Reining Horse Association (SARHA), South African Quarter Horse Association (SAQHA) , SANEF and WPHS we would like to invite interested people to join us at the 1. Western Riding event in the Cape :
Introducing Western Riding
Date / Time : Saturday, 9. of May 2009, at 10:00 to app. 17:00
Location: Lourensford Estate , Somerset West (for directions see attached map)
Fees : Participation is free of charge !
Programm :
• Part a : Basic information’s (starts at 10:00 at building near Polo field)
1. History
2. Equipments
3. Horses
4. Sport Disciplines
5. Introducing SARHA & SAQHA
6. Proposed Clinic Program
7. Discussion
• Lunch Break : 13:00 to 14:00 ( own picnic basket or use restaurant )
• Part B : Riding Demonstration’s (starts at 14:00 at the riding arena)
1. Bridling / Saddleling
2. Warm up
3. Basic Maneuvers
4. Trail Riding
5. Pleasure Riding
6. Reining
7. Discussion
- This is not a clinic, so please participate without any horse. We will offer a systematic Western Riding clinic program for participation with your horses at the event.
- All riding demonstrations will be performed by the international Western Rider Michael Weber from Switzerland on his performance AQH’s “ My Sweet Jessy” and “Royal Black O Lena”.
