Hi, I'm looking for reasonable cottage for me, and basic livery (Even paddocking/grazing) for one horse), open to anything though. I'm a blind rider into endurance, but adapt very well to new surroundings, and can even ride out alone if area is safe and sand roads quiet. Can feed my own horse or fit in with groom. Would consider anywhere in SA as long as Mtn or Vodacom 3g signal, but would prefer south of JHB - Meyerton/Walkerville/Daleside, or East Rand way, to try to be near family and/or endurance friends, else should be near endurance crowd.

I have a cottage and a stable available, but it is in pretoria north. There is an arab stud just around the corner and an endurance crowd. Great outrides on dirt roads and on the adjacent mielie fields. It is very far away from your family though.

Hi QuickSilverElusive, thanks so much for the quick reply. It sounds great nevertheless, worth considering, I might even know some of the endurance crowd. Can you pm me with more or less costs for single cottage stay (No car of course) and a special little horse that thinks he's an Arab, although not quite.

Blindbat, we will be moving soon, and our cottage will be coming available. We're in Kyalami, not sure how close you will be to Endurance crowds, but we're lucky to have lovely outrides, including a good track. There are stables on the property and the groundsman here used to be my groom, and could probably do your horse for you.
I'm not sure when it will be available - could be end April or end May.
What is your budget?

Hi Saxon, Kyalami might be a bit hectic for me, my budget is around R3000 - R3500 or R3800 at a push, but then again Billy, being an endurance horse and coming from where we stay now on the farm, is used to out-door living and I groom, feed, etc. myself, although it's nice to have a groom feed, etc. on the days I am tired, busy with work, or away visiting. I personally enjoy working with my horse, cleaning hooves, grooming etc, so I'm very open to any type of livery. As for Billy, he should be ok in a stable, but has been in a night paddock and lately a field every night.
