Gordon Rolfe Program for Sunday
A day of fun!! For all those western dreamers. Non rescued horses welcome. 1 March 2009 show starts promptly at 09:00 with a parade of all the rescued horses. Crash caps compulsory for all events except Fancy Dress. Events for the day will be as follows: 1. Walk, Trot, Canter 2. Bending Poles 3. Beer Can Race 4. Musical Sacks 5. Galloping Grannies 6. Potato Race Lunch Break of 1 hour. During lunch break there will be a tug of war and sack race for all spectators and riders who would like to join the expedition. This will also give time for the competitors to get dressed for the Fancy Dress. 7. Fancy Dress 8. Flag Race 9. Barrel Race 10. Handy Horse: Rescue The Sheep 11. Gretna Green 12. Bareback Race For The Brave Classes 2, 3, 7, 8 and 9 will include lead rein classes for kids or adults who are novice riders. No person that is an experienced rider may compete in these classes for they will be disqualified for all other events. Juniors fall in the category of 14 and under. There will only be a lead rein, juniors and adult class. Fees for the day: Rescued Horses: R100 Non – Rescued: R120 Lead Rein Rescued: R 40 Lead Rein Non Rescued: R 50 Horse boxes must please park outside on Van Schoorsdrift Road. Hope to see you all here.
