I know of a horse that either needs to be re homed as a companion only, or we would like to take him to a retirement farm in the Western Cape. I would appreciate it if anyone could help. Failing this, we will have to have this horse put down.

He was rehomed last weekend. He is at a yard where he will be comfortable and cared for. He settled in just about immediately, and is already very protective over his harem of 3 mares, who are the only other horses there. It is also close enough for us to visit regularly.

Sorry to hi-jack your thread Ami, but there is a 16yr old TB at livery at our yard (CT) and the owners have relocated to JHB. He can be ridden but is very hot. Has been regularly ridden by one of the youngsters who helps out as a groom. He needs to go to someone who wants a companion horse or who will have the experience to be able to handle him. He needs to go to a 'forever' home and not be passed on again... Anyone looking? 16 yrs old. Has passport. Dark bay. Swayback.
