PLEASE HELP……………ALL ANIMAL LOVERS AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES IN DURBAN
THIS IS A FINAL AND VERY DESPERATE AND URGENT PLEA TO HELP CHARMAINE….TO SAVE THE LIVES OF 27 CATS THAT SHE RESCUED
AND HAS BEEN CARING FOR A LONG TIME………………
DEADLINE FOR EUTHANASIA IS THIS FRIDAY – ALL 27 OF THEM…..
My name is Charmaine and I’m a feline philanthropist! That’s just another way of saying I’m besotted with cats and will do almost anything for them!
I’ve been doing just that for the past three years in the township where I work, Umlazi. Here I’m known as ikati ma – mother of the cats. I’ve been feeding them religiously every day including weekends and public holidays for three years. When management decided that they no longer wanted the feral cats on the premises, I started trapping and removing them one by one with the help of other crazy cat lovers. This rescue mission has resulted in a shelter at my home for the ferals, and in the past year I’ve taken 20 babies from the township which have all grown up to be domestic and house trained. So, the present cat count stands at 36 in total (this figure excludes my own), of which 16 are feral and 20 tame.
What’s the point you might ask? Well friends, I’m losing my property as a result of a marriage dissolving and need to home all these beautiful cats by the end of this week. Each cat has a story and many man hours and money invested into trapping, relocating, spaying and neutering. It absolutely breaks my heart to part with them, but I know that I have done the best I can in the time we’ve had together. I now appeal to you to please assist me in providing them with a future filled with even more love and care.
CHARMAINE HAS BEEN CALLING ON ALL EVERYONE SHE KNOWS AND ALL ANIMAL ORGANISATIONS IN DURBAN FOR HELP OVER THE LAST MONTH OR TWO EVERYONE IS UNABLE TO HELP – SHE HAS ONLY BEEN ABLE TO HOM 9 CATS …..SO FAR…..
16 OF THE 27 ARE FERALS – ALL NEUTERED/SPAYED AND LIVE IN A SUPERB CAT ENCLOSURE BUILT FOR THEM ON HER PROPERTY. CHARMAINE IS WILLING TO PUT THIS STRUCTURE ONTO SOMEONE ELSE’S PROPERTY FOR THESE 16 FERALS TO REMAIN AND SHE WILL FINANCE THEM MONTHLY FOR AS LONG AS IT HAS TO TAKE…. SHE IS NEEDING SOMEWHERE TO HOUSE THEM URGENTLY AND WILL ENTER INITO A FINANCIAL CONTRACT WITH ANYONE WHO IS WILLING TO ASSIST WITH SPACE ON THEIR PROPERTY TO HELP HER…
