Hi all,
I am a horse behaviourist recently back from overseas. I have been working with horses since 1999. I deal with all sorts of conflict behaviour, from biting, kicking and barging in the stable to bolting, rearing and bucking whilst ridden. I also deal with the subtleties like refining the aids, getting a hard mouthed horse softer, improving the relationship between you and your horse.
The last 2 years, I worked in Australia rebreaking in horses for all disciplines - racing, endurance, eventing, hacking - and dealing with problems - horse that double barrelled vet when he took her temperature, horses that won't box, can't catch in the paddock, won't jump, horses that blank out and so on.
I had fantastic opportunities to work with international horse trainers and go to numerous seminars with all sorts of coaches.
I am now based in Melkbosstrand and travel around the Cape to clients.
There is no set routine to how many sessions are needed, it depends on the problem and the owner's ability to continue the work.
