I am just wondering what some of you would pay for a yard that had... Large, Clean Brick built stables 20x40 Childrens size dressage arena 20x60 Dressage arena Large sand showjumping arena Grass electrified paddocks 2x Lunging rings Club house Dam Tack room Locker facility Laundry service for numnahs, boots and blankets Changing rooms 24 hour Live in security Competent grooms All arenas will have drainage and be graded once a week Will also host shows Southern Subs, Cape Town This is not my yard but In my opinion this is what a yard should offer... we can only dream

In Gauteng you'd probably look at R2500 - R3000 for that, provided it is well maintained, there are excellent management and the grooms are really super.

Cool, I have yet to find a yard in Cape Town that offers this. I am just curious as to what people pay for as I have heard of some yards that dont even have arenas!!

You don't have to pay an arm and a leg for this, personally I thin people are ripping us off....

that sound amazing...... it also depends on where the yard is.... Constantia, Tokai anything from R3200.00 to R6000.00 Noordhoek, Philipi ext. I'd think like R2500.00 to R 3500.00
I do not have any arena's but am 2mins away from shora so my client or I don't required an arena. I have large grass and sand paddocks, fantastic grooms, assistant manager, tack room, laundry services. Livery is R3350.00
Up the road (zwaanswyk rd) you'd prob get smaller paddocks some without grass ext and pay about R500.00 to R1000.00 more than at my yard.... Land is just so expensive in Tokai and unfortunately that places a massive influence on the price of livery in areas live Tokai and Constantia.... I have people often telling me that my yard is very cheap and should put up my livery.... comparied to other yards I'm cheaper....
I guess it all about demand..... If you have a demand you can chearge what you like..... It's a pitty but I'm not in this for the money.... it's for my love of horses and just an awesome exprience....
That yard does truely sound awesome laddles.....

I would say in SOuthern Suburbs you can estimate to pay R4800.00 - R5300.00 for what you mention above... But then it would also depend on the size of hte grass paddocks... Also how good is the drainage, some grass paddocks end up as mud sludge after winter!
