SHOWING IS GOING GERMAN FOR OCTOBER!
Western Province showing will be hosting the Oktoberfest Showing Festival at CHPC on the 26th of October. The show was originally meant to run over two days but due to Gold Circle needing CHPC for racing on the 25th, we have had to change our schedule to just one day. The new show schedule is posted on the calendar.
The organisers have tried to cater for everyone including in-hand general classes, SA riding classes, warmblood ridden classes, etc. You will see an ammendment to the original schedule in that the timetable for all classes now appears at the bottom of the page.
Please ensure that the classes that you enter do not clash, the onus is on you and not the show organisers to see to this.
The show will have a German Oktoberfest atmosphere, hopefully this will blend well with the large German influence that we have had on our competition horses here in South Africa over the past decade. We will be inviting stalls with German products (food, merchandise etc) and a German style Oompah band as well as any other stall holders interested in displaying their goods. Anyone who would be interested in putting up a stall or display, please reply by return of mail. Stands will be cost R250.00 for the duration of the show.
There are many sponsorship opportunities available at this show. All sponsors will be entitled to a free stand on the day, banners to be put up on display for the duration of the competition and ongoing coverage throughout the show.
Sponsorship of classes will cost R1000.00 and the class to be named after the sponsor.
Each age group will have a novice and open championship winner who will be awarded blankets. The cost of sponsorship of these blankets is R1300 per age group. The blanket would then be made in the sponsor's corporate colours with the sponsor name embroidered on the blanket. Competitors winning these blankets would presumably use them on an ongoing basis in the future ensuring sponsor mileage indefinitely. The championship to be named after the sponsor.
We are requiring a sponsor for the rosettes which will be presented to each prize winner in each class of the competition. The sponsor name and logo would be printed in the centre of the rosette and the rosettes could be made in the sponsors corporate colours. Cost of the rosettes for the entire competition will be R5000.
We would like to present prizes for all classes across all age groups so all donations in kind, vouchers, etc. are always very gratefully received.
Finally we will be needing a sponsor for our grooms class which will be named after the sponsor. There are normally about 20 entries in the class and we like to ensure that every groom receives a prize with the first five prize winners receiving something slightly better than the balance.
