I came across an advert in the Landbouweekblad about an auction the 19th of June 2008 on Zingela Ranch, Heidelberg, Gauteng. 10 Donkeys and 10 horses/ ponies. Three of the mares are registered nooitgedachters. The problem is that these animals have not been handled much. Thus the fear that they may end up with butchers. Please, if you cannot assist yourself, just forward to people in that area. I do not know alot of people in Gauteng. I only know that I will not be able to sleep at night, if I do not at least try to save them. There are foals and two little ponies amongst them!!!! The contact is GH Muller (farm manager) 073 302 7319. I know of people who would like to buy one or two donkeys. If somebody could just get them to a safe place, I will assist in advertising them and try to get buyers.
