Oops...sorry forgot it was an Internet Explorer site. Well, here's the information: What is this Extravaganza that everyone is speaking about?
It is a very unique show that brings a different combination of entertainment forms together. Circus acts, live music, dance, opera and most unusually….horses. This is theatre with a difference! Kyla Thorburn who directed the very successful “King and I” recently at Artscape is applying her talents to this show together with her award winning team. It features a diversity of talent including, well known movie horse wrangler Michelle Mazurkiewicz showing off her skills; the premiere of an excerpt from the home grown musical “Jane Eyre” composed by Derek Fordyce and sung by Tracey Petersen and Graham Boxall. For Military Tattoo lover’s, the Cape Town Highlanders will open the second half; you can watch the dramatic dancing of the renowned La Rosa Spanish Dance Theatre Company and a horse will “dance” to Tina Farr’s stunning soprano voice. Dazzling aerial acts will be performed by Natalie and Orlando of Zip Zap and Madam Zingara fame with master raconteur, “Stormin’ Norman” playing the ringmaster supported by his Action Entertainment team. All in all, 99 performers and 21 horses are lined up to entertain you for the evening. There is much more excitement and many more surprises, but we don’t want to spoil your fun now, do we? The venue is the Cape Indoor Riding Centre, so don’t worry if the weather does not play along! Mitchell’s Brewery will be manning a full bar and our catering department is laying on a delicious assortment of eats. Dress is casual. The venue opens at 6pm and the show starts at 7.30 pm and performance dates are 17th, 18th and 19th of April. Tickets are only R275 but seating is limited. All the proceeds will be going towards Kenridge Primary School’s joint hockey and rugby tour to the Argentine in 2008. For more information visit our website at www.extravaganza2008.co.za. Book now through Computicket. Don’t miss this one!! Get your tickets soon!!
