Starash get in touch with the various trucking companies, below are some names and numbers. Price wise, I am not sure on exact costs, but you will be looking in the region of R2000.
Courier Transport +27215511767
MARK’S HORSE TRANSPORT +27834694534
Then there is also Peter Choice, he is very good, but don't have his number unfortunetly, perhaps some-one else on the site can help?

you could seriously not find any stabling anywhere in gauteng? for the R2000 the courier is going to cost you your horse could spend the entire december at a NICE yard!

It might actually cost more, I paid R2700/horse, Pta/Jhb - Bloem, but that was on 27 Dec last year.

I can vouch for Courier Transport. I brought my 1 year colt down from JHB to CPT about a 2 weeks ago. They stop every 4 hours to fill the haynets and waterbuckets. I payed R2280.

Courier is good. Quoted me R1750 CT to JHB about 2 months ago. But as Anine says you can surely find stabling somewhere here - I know of a couple of decent yards in that price range.

Thanks allot guys. I'll keep these numbers handy for the future.
This was a horse of a friend that got a job offer in paarl; he first wanted to take the horse with but decided to sell her instead. He was not willing to pay my stabling price (R400 special for him) so I'm glad he sold his horse.

How long does a trip from JHB to CPT take? And should they be in quarantine for a while before they are aloud to go home?
