not quiet sure where to put this, but its about transport.
we have bought a farm just before swellendam (inside the protection zone). if we wanted to take horses there( from durbanville:survallance zone), for say, a holiday etc, what would we need to get? permit, movement cert. etc

As far as I know you gonna need all of what you mentioned... but the catch is that they may not let you bring them back.... we have encountered that problem you can take them from A to B ... with the needed paperwork but the question is are they gonna let you go from B to A again....Best would be is to phone the state Vet.
Personaly, I would be to afraid to take my horses any where!!

Well how long is their 'holiday' gonna be? I personally think it's safer to leave your horses where they are. But either phone state vet or Merri Sprately then they can advise you on what options you have.
