I am urgently needing to borrow or buy an Old Mac or Easy boot. Only need it for about a week - my horse has an absess in his hoof and the farrier recommended that I use one to keep the mud off the hoof for now. ( Shoe size is a size 6)
Does anyone have one that I could borrow?
Thanks!

Did you look for yours? I put a whole whack of tack in Dawn's maroon trunk - maybe in there or the blue bucket......What happened to the one Hildegard lent Dawn?

have you seen these:
RUBBER BARRIER BOOT
This is a very strong rubber boot that fits over the horse's foot. It is very adjustable and has an easy to use clip fastening. It has a variety of uses: - As a "spare tyre" when your horse loses a shoe, so you can continue riding. - An alternative to traditional nail on shoes. - Aids in the treatment of thrush, navicular, bruising, adscesses and impact injuries. A normal foot poultice or bandage lasts much longer under a barrier boot. Sizes: 00, 0, 1, 2 and 3. Sold individually. R134.73 excl vat from WS
