Milnerton Riding Club Presents 2008 Show Jumping Challenge Series
A five leg jumping tournament with cumulative points and great prizes! Dates: Jan 26 Feb 16 March 15 April 5 April 12
Classes are as follows:
*Warm Up round: un-judged, 50 or 60 cm, to be run concurrently with divisions 1 and 2.
Division 1 101 Beginner Jumper 50cm clear round and jump off 102 Beginner Jumper 50cm precision and speed
Division 2 201 Novice Jumper 60cm clear round and jump off 202 Novice Jumper 60cm precision and speed
Division 3 301 Intermediate Jumper 70cm clear round and jump off 302 Intermediate Jumper 70cm precision and speed
Division 4 401 Schooling Jumper 80cm clear round and jump off 402 Schooling Jumper 80cm precision and speed
Division 5 501 Modified Jumper 90cm clear round and jump off 502 Modified Jumper 90cm precision and speed
Division 6 601 Veteran Jumper 1M clear round and jump of 602 Veteran Jumper 1M precision and speed
*Classes are R30 each or R50 for a division. Warm up rounds are R20.*
Rosettes will be awarded for 1st-6th place in all classes. Points will be allocated as follows
1st- 7pts, 2nd- 5pts, 3rd- 4pts, 4th-3pts, 5th-2pts, 6th-1pt
Each division will have a champion and reserve champion based on total points earned in both classes of a division. Champion- 10pts Reserve- 7pts
Points will be recorded and following the last leg in the series, there will be an awards braai with presentations of rosettes and prizes to the top six riders in each division based on cumulative points for the series.
*Warm up round: Riders may elect to ride an un-judged warm up round over the course at either 50 or 60cm, regardless of the height they will be competing at. The warm up round will run concurrently with divisions 1 and 2, must be ridden in class one of the division and must be over the clear round course. Should a rider experience a problem on course, such as a refusal, the trainer of the horse and rider may be allowed 60 seconds in the arena to school the horse and rider combination. At the end of that time, all parties will be asked to leave the arena.
Dress is casual show attire. White or tan breeches, gaiters or tall boots and a polo shirt.
