I guess it's not a problem,I'm just not a fan of adults and juniors combined, just a personal preferance. anyway off topic,I might be at the show.

Gosh- I am not trying to be provocative, but what's wrong with adults??? some of us have less experience than juniors and other have more? What is the difference between a 17 yr old and a 21 year old- i think the difference is largely regarding experience- a novice adult is no or more less different that a novice junior and similarly for open? I am open to correction, but if classes are small for both, this seems a logical plan- maybe this will change as adult participation in the discipline increases??

I agree with you 100% Journey!!!
Juniors - keep in mind adults equitation is VERY new, this could be the first show i've heard of them having adults equitation! Which means you guys definately have more experience than the adults who didn't have a chance to compete in juniors!

It's not a huge problem for me.Its just they're mixing our age groups so much.We should be competing against juniors if we are juniors.I feel after childrens or pony riders now, there isnt that competitive vibe because our age groups are being mixed so much. The same goes for jumping. They're now going to grade the classes as heights eg.1.10m not JC or for the adults D grade,so again we are mixed.
And i don't mind adults riding my horse. If they're in the same grade as I am,then they deserve to be there as they've gotten their points to be there.
I just wish we'd compete within our own age groups.
Anyway off topic! We should create a rant post about this.

I totally understand your point Jess. But, I had a little think about this, try and follow me with this one, A JC rider could have a years experience in that grade and not chosen to upgrade because he/she did not feel ready, an adult D grade rider could have the exact same situation, been jumping D grade for a year but not ready to upgrade. So therefore, both riders have the same experience in their particular grade which is, in fact, the EXACT same grade, regardless of their age. ...wow, that actually hurt my head...I'm gonna shut up now, promise.
Oh and remember you guys get Junior Champs, strictly no adults allowed! *sulk*
