Hi there I am looking for satbling in Stellenbosch area for a competitive horse and rider. Price range does not matter as long as there are jumping and dressage facilities. Please PM me if you know of anything. Thank you

I need jumping yard more than dressage... so Sanctuary not really an option. I know Paul Garlicki is moving out to close to Simondium/Paarl but it is atleast 25 km from Stellenbosch town. If i hear of anything will let you know.

Spier is probably your best bet... but there is also Whispering Sanz (but not really a competitive yard) or maybe Steadfast? I hear good things about that yard. Good arenas and all.

I was at Steadfast and was quite happy, not quite the place I thought it would be, so first do your homework if you're thinking of moving there.

Ja Sanz is, so is Steadfast but if you are looking that fa, try Bucked Off. It's 5mins further than Sanz and closer than Steadfast. And semi competitive.

For a competitive rider, Spier is probably your best bet. Where is Bucked Off? Never heard of it? What is it like?

Pie. Bucked Off is about 10km from Durbanville Town. Next to the Fisantekraal Airfield. My horse is there and I know u should never say never but I will not stable anywhere else. Sorry guys if that is very unPC :-P The horse truly does come first there. That said we have a 30m lunging circle plus a free rea next to for lunging on a line. 2 full siza dressage arenas altho the one is not used that often. A jumping area/ arena. Great outrides in the surrounding farmlands and just generally an awesome bunch of ppl who stable there - strangely very little cattiness and infighting that one sees in so many other yard. Sorry 4 the oscar speech but hope that gives u and idea :-)

While I don't stable at Bucked Off, I have to agree it's an awesome yard!
And like Davinci says, the people are great too!
