I call laced reins plaited, so laced I guess. Unless plaited can be used for showing as well.

hey oc, ok so here's the diff between laced and braided/plaited:

in the laced , i have two pairs in black, one new collegiate pair for R350, and one second hand english pair for R180

in the plaited/braided i have one pair in german leather for R350.00 second hand (they belong to me and i used them about 10 times max, and trust me when it comes to braided, the older and more well oiled the better, that being said i ride in nothing else)
