I think that this is quite a serious matter. Trucking can become dangerous if dealt with in the wrong way. Putting money aside- which horse box do you think is the safest/ trucks the best/ your horse enjoys most/ makes the least noise, etc. I would really appreciate it if you could answer it as truthful as possible! Thanks guys

I also love my Sunpacer, bought it new last year. I just find it's a bit noisey on gravel but on tar it's quiet. My boy is very happy in it and it tows much better than my old horsebox(old Venter).
On other brands if you're CT you have to make sure EVERYTHING is galvanized. Like Venter you have to pay extra to get the chassis galvanized. Then with pegasus, I've heard many people have problems with cracks and recently my friend's floor had to be redone because the floor caved in and it was only a few years old.
Oh and if you have a big horse I would get a box with a higher roof, it makes a huge difference.

Crisboxes dont rust and they are not noisy on dirt roads unless the pop rivets havent been greased LOL! We have been very happy with ours. The Maximus in my opinion is seriously overrated, the ramp has a sharp edge which cut my friends horses leg quite badly and that little door that you have to creep in and out of is awful I would keep bumping my head! The Boekmann are amazing but very pricey!

I think for a big horse, Nutti's and Sunpacers are great!

i must say i know a well kown instructor has 2 bockman boxes at her yard and she HATES towing them.
Also the horses dont seem to like to load into them as they seem so closed.

I like sunpacers but my box (challenger) is pretty decent too.

I did a whack of research into the different boxes when I was looking (still haven't bought yet) and Sunpacer is definately the best and safest. There are a whole host of reasons, but the other thing to bear in mind is how long a sunpacer is a really good box. I have a friend with a 20yt old sunpacer which is still in tip top condition. The Venter is also good, but if you live in the WC they rust within the first 5 years. I find the ramp on the Nutti is too short and therefore too steep. And the other strange thing to note is that the Sunpacer is a metal box with a really well balanced sturdy chassis and it weight less that the Pegasus and the crissbox, not sure about the blockman, which is essentially paper mashe with fibreglass.

The Brockmans are like traveling in a pill capsule. It does not feel safe in the front section for the person leading horse in and out as its soooo cramped, and the door is too small to get in and out of comfortably if you need to escape quickly. Sunpace are awesome.

Personally I do not think the Brockmans nor crisboxes are safe at all. I was in an accident April 2008 where a guy basically wrote off his new Toyota Corolla against my box (challenger). If it was a crisbox or any other fiberglass box my horse would have been seriously injured or killed.
What saved her was the fact that the box was made out of aluminum and the ramp was steel reinforced. The box part dit crumple to absorb the impact and luckily it was not full from behind.
I like sunpacers the only thing that I have against them is that the pannels are are all pop rivited together. I have travelled in some of the them and they do rattle a and make a noise. I also do not know how strong the pop rivits are.

The old challengers are also very nice, but as with the Venters are not fully galvanised unless it is a special request, and are heavier than the sunpacer.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT THE HINDSIGHT HORSEBOXES?

Nope, not for me thanks. Although the horse might like to travel facing backwards I do not like the fact that the horses have to reverse out towards the car right next to the jockey wheel and A frame. I also fing that they are dark, not wlecoming to the horses and you certainly could not get a horse out in a hurry.

That's what I thought aswell, Susan! I watched the video on Youtube, but the horses that they load are so well trained!
It looks very dodge to me!

Some-one I know has one and I scoped it out quite a bit because he was raving about it. I decided I would never put my horse in one. Mainly because I just feel that they are too closed in.
One of the best things about the Sunpacer is the HUGE front door that you can just walk a horse out of if there is an issue.
Can you post the link to the video you watched?
Okay, I found the video, and I can assure you that it was nothing like that when I saw the horses coming out. That would take a lot of work.

I have a sunpace jumbo and I love it - quite heavy but sturdy and horses load and travel well. I also liked the crisbox which was my previosu box, but it was quite noisy and I found the horses did not like the shadows that the box had inside when we went under trees and stuff.... if that makes sense?? Good luck...

When I saw a friends hindsight one of the horses tried to rush out. It damaged the tail gates, my frinds arm, the gate down the side of the ramp and itself. When it was time to go home from the show the horse got a lift with someone else as it WOULD NOT go back in.

For big horses the Challengers(if you have gates put on) and Sunpacers are really great! My 18hh warmblood fits in quite comfortably and they're nice and sturdy.Obviously the rust etc. has to be maintained.
