Its awesome girls, you are going to love it! Pretty inviting stuff. Last year water was a small river crossing. 2kms goes by pretty quickly, trust me! Its lots of fun. You can leave out the gate, but then you get 20 penalties. Enjoy! I write the next day, otherwise would be there like a bear! Its lotsa fun!

Lisa, I once did about 15-20km on my third time on a WB, trotting most of the way. I tell you, I could hardly even slide off afterwards - I was TOAST.

Hi- some questions- how is the competition scored? they say something about optimum time- what does that mean? do the rules apply like for eventing- in terms of stops, falls, giving way to a faster rider, etc.? also, do you plait? where hunt jacket or eventing type clothes or just anything goes? thanks- these may sound ignorant- but its our first time!

Journey, I think optimum time is the same as the express eventings. They have a time and the closest to that time is placed, not necessarily the faster person. (I could be very wrong though).
Not sure about the rules, but dress code is no longer formal so you can wear t-shirts, but they strongly recommend body protectors and surcingles. Compulsory for SANEF riders.
