Jaime loathes the discipline of "English" riding, and I'm wondering whether she wouldn't prefer the more laid-back approach of Western riding. Does anyone know of anywhere which offers safe, professional Western riding lessons?

You can try Niki Versveld, or the Diamond X Ranch, but both are very out of your way.
I'll check with my old cronies who might help you in your area

OMW Saxon, that is fantastic -  My daughter and I have just started western riding and it is amazing, we are loving it. I am sure you and Jaime will throughly enjoy it. There are more places in Gauteng that offer lessons than here in Cape Town and it is apparently growing on the reining side, so best of luck, it really is a great way of enjoying riding and when you see some of the top riders work with their horses, it is really beautiful. |
