Hi Laddles- i am out of town at the moment-will be back on Thursday - but wanted to ask- i thought i would get away with not clipping my new horse this winter as he is only off the track for 3 months- however, he is like a little fuzzy bunny with sticking out hairy fuzzy coat- but when i rode the other night- quite late- it took him ages to dry- so now i am thinking that i might have to- the other issue is that I am not sure how he will behave- he is a bit ticklish for handling and around his quarters- not even too fond of fly spray- do you think it is worth a try or does it sound like a bad idea? should i persevere and get him more used to being handled and clip him next winter? or give it a try? also, how late in the winter can you clip before it is too late (some people clip twice?) finally, we are trying to put weight on him, so if he were clipped he would have to be seriously rugged up- thanks to Arte we have a great turnout rug for this sort of thing- just not sure whether to pursue it?

his hair is still quite fine- being just recently off the track- but Sara's Skwiff has hair which is not the least bit fuzzy- same age- came off the track in November- ??

Laddles i will keep u in mind!
A girl who stables with us was so ripped off, the paid R490! apparently R240 for the sedation! it costs like less then R20 at the vet.. and she did the worst job EVER! the woman left like a big bunch of hair out on the top of the horse..

Laddles do you do partial clips, your post only seems to mention full clips? I mean like blanket and trace etc. If you do, please let us know the prices  |

Hi Michy, I must say I have never done a tracer clip but can always learn. I saw a horse the other day with one and it was the most untidy job I have ever seen, I wanted to whip my clippers out and neaten the poor thing up. I didnt though!! I have done a blanket clip too...

laddles clipped my boy today, here are the piccies!   its a stunning clip, no lines, you can hardly even see that he was clipped! when i walked up to him i was wondering if laddles had clipped the wrong horse!LOL cant believe that he is still so black! thanks laddles |
