Hi all
My Crisbox is about 5/6 yrs old, and has been serviced every year since we bought it. We noticed on a trip back up from Plett to CT that cracks in the plastics were starting to appear inbetween the wheels...Very nice to discover en route!!
I will try to upload photos of the cracks, but I wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem? I'm STRUGGLING to find someone who can fix it! Need someone to weld the plastic and check the structure to see what the problem might be (We phoned Crisbox headquarters who send us from pillar to post "try this guy, or that guy" all of who cant!).
Does anyone know of who we can try to help us? I'm in Stellenbosch, but scared to move it again, so they would have to come out to us to check it.

you cannot weld plastic (thats for metal) maybe try people who do bathrooms/ fibergladd pools. They could possibly put a patch over it. other wise im not sure what you can do!

you can actually weld plastic/fiberglass - obviously not like regular welding (which can't be done on all metals anyway), but that is what it is known as amongst the engineers etc who works with it.
TP you can actually try plumbers - I know for a fact that sewer pipes (the plastic ones) get 'welded', so if it is a big plumbing business they'll be able to help you. Or I'd try someone like Builders Warehouse etc.
Its disturbing that Crisbox won't offer more help, really.

It is, I agree. Thanks so much for your ideas guys. Looks like I might have found someone to help, a chemical engineer who works with plastics, who will be able to ensure soundness for travelling with weight. Hopefully he can actually tell us what the problem is, and not just fix the symptom! Hold thumbs!!

This is a wonderfull advert for the product. I'm pleased I trusted my instinct and went with another brand.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE the box in every other aspect. I have had it for 5/6 years and it has NEVER given any problems. This is a first.
