Hiya,
Im doing my open water course in May and need to get the gear...
Diving wetsuit, at least 5mm Neoprene (preferably 7mm) Gloves, booties and hood (A hood built into the wetsuit is warmer) Diving knife (stainless steel with serrated cutting edge) Diving timer (Diving watch, bottom timer or computer) Fins (Preferably open heels with booties) Diving mask (must seal well; stick to the face without strap in place; a low volume, double seal, silicone mask with tempered / safety glass lens is best.) Snorkel (Simpler is better; āJā-type with diameter approx. 20mm; must fit comfortably in the mouth) Dive bag / Plastic container, into which all the gear fits. Weight belt with quick release, stainless steel buckle. Weights (approximately 1kg for every 10 kg of body weight.) Bring two extra weights
Thats the gear i need. If anyone has anything. Must be in exellent condition. Please let me know.
Thanks

Im doing it with the false bay underwater club. The course is only costing me R1250 so it allows you to spend the excess that you would have spent on the course, on gear. At certain shops you get discounts if you are with the club.
