First boy looking for a loving home is a big 17hh dark bay (almost black). Comme is 13 y.o. and stands in Joostenbergvlakte. He’s very loving, sweet and safe I am told. Comme is not interested in any schooling or to be lunged though and is therefore only suitable as a hack.
Jayde is 17 years old. Gorgeous fellow. He is standing in Tokai.
She does not want him sold on so may look at a lease for him as she wants a bit of contact with him still. Here is her description
Size wise, he’s about 16hh. He’s a bit overweight at the moment, but I’m ok with that during winter – prefer a bit of excess to keep him warm! They all live out with shelter under the tress at the moment (we’ve recently moved to Tokai, so we’re still sorting out the shelter). He’s a good doer, I feed him only about 3kgs of meal (Calmette / Calmline / Tranquil) a day between breakfast and dinner and then oathay plus lucern / teff when I can get it.
He’s a bit fluffy now, but in summer he has the MOST beautiful coat! Very shiny and silky soft! He’s a very beautiful horse and always looks muscled up even tho he’s hardly worked, so when he’s fitter, he’s a stunner (see pic of him taken a few years ago when my friend in Durban had him).
He’s easy to lunge, even outside of a lunging-ring. I ride him in a bitless bridle, on the buckle... Not a strong horse at all and as I said before, isn’t the type to take off with you. In fact you’ll need to coax him a lot if you want a full gallop!
Anyone interested can pm me for contact details
