Hi all
I am trying to do some research on what people are paying for stabling in the Constantia/Tokai area and what they get for that price. Please can you post any info that could help? Thanks!

Electrified paddocks, 24hour supervision. Horses are treated as my own. Tack feed room combo. Horses are sprayed with fly spray daily. No arenas on property but public dressage arena close by.
My friends yard close by: R3000p/m
Large shelter that can be closed to make a stable allowing the horses access to the stables at all times. Expirianced good groom, that feeds, mucks out, and gives the horses a light groom. Horses are fed on capestone with HH vitality mix. Add lib teff and lucerne. Ponies or horses lunged twice a week if owner requests. The yard up the road charges R2650 (constantia)
Includes groom, stable with shavings. Small sand paddocks, lunge arena. Stables and paddocks cleaned on a daily basis, horses get oathay net in the morning and in thier stables. Fed twice a day.
Another yard i looked at over the weekend R3200 (Tokai)
Small sand paddocks, good size stables. Dressage arena and jumping arena, backs onto tokai forrest. Trained grooms, secure environment. Horses are fed 3 meals a day with equifeeds, oathay nets given morning lunch and in the stable. Horses are sprayed with fly spray daily. Blankets changed as needed.
A stable yard near by: R4000
Small sand paddocks, large jumping arena, stables a reasonable size. Well trained grooms that tack up, plait for you. Horses are fed 2 meals a day with an oathay net in the morning and lucerne and oathay in the evening. Fed on Equifeeds. Horses are groomed daily, expirianced instructors at the yard.
I did exactly this last year when trying to calculate what to charge. It definatly adds quite huge brownie points (more like money marks) when there are arenas (which is understandable)
