Kels, I think I would need a parachute plus people running along side us with a saftey net to fall into! Hmm, it actually sounds like a lot of fun. Glad to see you moved the closing date out to 22 April, gives me more time to convince my instructor

You Cape Tonians would stand NO chance if my giraffe was there so just be grateful we live in Joburg! Not only do we go around like a giraffe but we sound like an elephant, are as beautifully shaped as a hippo, have the attention span of a goldfish and are as hairy as a mammoth! Our own big 5

have the attention span of a goldfish Oh Hayls, Litchi and Casper sound like they could be related! Kels, some of the movements Litchi does will put those top horses to shame! Problem is he never does it when is supposed to and usually at top speed ! Thinking I might just enter the best walk and trot and leave the dressage test out

hehe but thats what real dressage is all about is the horse being able to be spontaneous and free to move at his own pace and ability......

Merry fortunately only one horse can possibly qualify for the "I ran into a tree when it jumped out at me" prize!!! and it was witnessed by three (yes 3) real people with their own two eyes!!!

But Misty, that was just his warm-up! He does these other amazing stunts as well, such as amazing buck/rear flying change, followed by coming to a skidding stop on his bum with all four legs going in different directions! Such a special horse!

hehe merry sounds just like some of the queens moves.....bee to answer your question in that class the horse will be required to walk, trot and canter on each rein - basically its a 2 min show of the horses movement and abilities.....so if you want to save somethign special for any of the classes this would be the one

There are so many additional classes they didnt think of that our special youngsters need added! A particular favourite of Casper's is *the shadows the dressage letters leave are actually evil creatures who wish to rip out my throat and you cant fool me into believing they are harmless because they keep changing shape as the sun moves in the sky so we stop, lower head, snort, drop shoulder, leap to side and continue to next letter*! This manouvre is very complex especially at the canter and requires much skill. And the marauding hordes of sparrows who are surely only there to peck out his eyes. All other birds are friendly and completely tolerated but sparrows are the equivalent of the devil in feathered form. The only way to survive is to run, run Casper, run as fast as you can with your bum up your own ass!

LOL, considering that our canters, usually go something like walk, trot trot trot faster, TROT FASTER, break into canter for 2 strides on the wrong leg, return to very fast trot *you get the picture* this class I might give a miss LOL

Bee, thats why I think I will also stick to the walk and trot only. Cantering is not our strong point either. The transition is fine, but it's either "urg, I'm too lazy to canter, break back into trot" or it "yay, I'm back on the track! Lets see how fast and how many bucks I can do!" We are still trying to find the happy medium
